School Districts: Northeast Storm draws players from the following school districts:
Bexley, Buckeye Valley, Centerburg, Columbus, Delaware, Grandview, Johnstown, Licking Heights, Marysville, North Union, Northridge, Olentangy, New Albany, River Valley, Southwest Licking, Whitehall, and Worthington
League: Northeast Storm is a member of the Ohio Scholastic Hockey League (OSHL) and is considered a USA Hockey team (as opposed to OHSAA). Other OSHL teams include Hilliard, Prowlers Hockey Assoc, Westerville, Athens, Newark, and Dayton. Over the past few years, the Storm and several other teams in the league have routinely been ranked by My Hockey Rankings as among the best in the state, regardless of division.
Eligibility: In order to participate for the Storm during the regular season, you must be in one of our assigned districts and be entering the 9th-12th grade.
Summer Program: The Storm also has a FREE summer on and off-ice/conditioning program which begins in July (one practice/week) and continues through the end of August (two practices/week). Summer skates/conditioning are open to all players in the Storm district entering the 7th-12th grade in the Fall. Tryouts are held in mid-late August with preseason games beginning in September and October. The regular season begins late Oct/early Nov and runs through February.
